"You are the light shining in my life, every bit of it makes me yearn. With you, clear skies are ordinary, wherever you are, is my only direction…"
On the afternoon of April 16th, accompanied by the neat and crisp children's choir echoing in the Kaiyuan Grand Theater, this brand-new modern artistic temple, after 580 days of construction, welcomed singing and applause for the first time, unveiling its mysterious veil to the world.
Taking the name Kaiyuan to revive the glory of "Kaiyuan," the Kaiyuan Grand Theater adopts a large-scale and grand architectural form to express the majestic atmosphere of the Tang Dynasty, symbolizing the prosperity and flourishing of the new era culture.
The integration of space, flow line , materials, colors, and light and shadow forms a vigorous and graceful overall atmosphere, simultaneously meeting the functional requirements for small and medium-sized performances and rehearsals of various types such as small-scale dramas, children's plays, pop concerts, and film screenings, as well as various artistic and commercial activities, greatly enhancing the cultural taste of the northern urban area and strengthening the city's cultural vitality.
In this project, Wuyang Yiguan has had the privilege of being recognized by multiple contract parties for construction, providing acoustical materials and acoustical technical support for the project. For this purpose, the Wuyang Yiguan technical team has visited the project site multiple times, carefully surveying and guiding installation, striving to provide customers with accurate, high-quality products, and services.
Now, let's step into the Kaiyuan Grand Theater, enter this palace of acoustics.
Grand Theater
Materials Used: Grade A Decorative Panels, Perforated Wood Acoustic Panels, Perforated Black Wooden Fiber Acoustic Panels
The auditorium and side acoustic baffles of the theater utilize Grade A decorative panels and perforated wood acoustic panels, which are Grade A fireproof. The PAE16/8/15 perforated wood acoustic panels, with a perforation rate of 20% and a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) as high as 0.9, effectively regulate the indoor reverberation time. The consistent color and texture of the decorative panels and perforated wood acoustic panels maintain visual continuity, blending aesthetics and acoustic functionality to deliver top-notch audiovisual experiences to the audience.
Behind the stage, black perforated wooden wool acoustic panels cover the area. With an NRC between 0.8 and 0.95, the perforated design further enhances the sound absorption performance of the wooden wool acoustic panels, resulting in better sound quality and higher speech clarity on the stage.
The live sound effect is clear, bright, and captivating. The theater has a rectangular layout with dimensions approximately 25m wide, 33m long, and a clear height of about 12m, providing an effective acoustic volume of around 8450 m³ and accommodating 513 audience members. Under full occupancy conditions, the reverberation time (T30) ranges from 1 to 1.7 seconds, as shown in the table below:
