The interior of the Chengdu Jinqiang International Events Center thus revealed its anticipatedveil.

The Jinqiang International Events Center, with a total construction area of 162,200 square meters, includes a large-scale Class A sports arena with 14,000 seats, 42,000 square meters of supporting commercial space, and a 45,000-square-meter underground parking lot. As one of the main venues for the 2021 World University Summer Games, it is the first NBA-level professional basketball venue in Sichuan and has become a landmark building in Chengdu.

Acoustic Analysis Born for the "ultimate experience," as the first NBA-level professional basketball venue in Sichuan, the acoustic environment construction of this project meets the first-level international acoustic indicators for sports venues. The construction techniques and materials used are top-notch, capable of providing excellent sound quality effects for various international sports events.

The acoustic design of a professional basketball venue needs to consider acoustic issues such as the loud noises generated by athletes during the game, the thunderous cheers of tens of thousands of spectators, The low-frequency noise of mixed conversations from the audience, intermingled with the buzzing of electronic music, lighting, air conditioning, and other mechanical equipment.

Without proper acoustic treatment or improper treatment,These sounds will create echoes of primary and secondary reflections within the space, severely disrupting the performance of athletes, affecting the fair judgment of referees,and diminishing the viewing experience of on-site spectators. Therefore, it is crucial to perform sound absorption treatment and control the reverberation time of the sports venue between 1.3 and 2.1 seconds.

To match the quality positioning requirements of NBA international standards for venues, the client compared the density of product samples and the meticulousness of craftsmanship among bidding companies' products and chose to cooperate with Wuyang Yiguan without hesitation. Large areas of Grade A slotted ceramic aluminum sound-absorbing panels were installed throughout the venue, including river barriers, perimeter screens, passages, and access points, accompanied by Grade A fireproof wooden decorative panels and wooden inserts of the same color and material, maintaining the consistency of the venue's decorative effect.

While ensuring acoustic effects, our company, in order to reproduce the visual effects of the design drawings,had the expertise of a master painter with nearly 20 years of experience. According to the design renderings, after more than a dozen experiments, the painter meticulously matched and compared paint colors to achieve the designer's satisfaction with the bright blue and fortress gray hues. The finished product on-site was stunning.

Before acoustic treatment, the reverberation time was long, the echo was loud, and the sound was muddy and unclear, making it difficult and strenuous to listen. Without acoustic treatment, such an acoustic environment would inevitably affect the performance of athletes and the viewing experience of on-site spectators, quickly leading to rejection.

Was shortened, the echo was reduced, the sound was clear and audible, the sound field distribution was uniform, and the listening effect was very comfortable, providing high-quality competition and viewing experiences for on-site athletes, referees, and spectators.

Grade A Grooved Ceramic Aluminum Sound-absorbing Panels

Grooved acoustic panels are typical structural sound-absorbing materials with a structure of front slots and back holes, providing excellent sound absorption and noise reduction effects in the mid-low frequency range. The material has a trendy color and meticulous material selection, serving both acoustic and decorative functions, and is widely applicable.

The grooved acoustic panels in this project were used in locations such as river barriers, perimeter screens, entrance passages, and access points, employing horizontal installation to greatly enhance the visual impact horizontally.

The construction team was unfamiliar with the installation process of the product. Our company dispatched technical personnel to provide on-site guidance on details such as the joints between grooved acoustic panels and corners, baseboards, fire hydrants, as well as the arc handling of acoustic panels based on wall design and material arrangement, significantly improving material utilization efficiency while achieving meticulous and smooth installation effects. Attention was paid to the user's experiences of hearing, seeing, and touching in the sports venue.

Wooden Decorative Panels Selected high-quality fireproof base materials and wood veneer facings from the industry and adopted exquisite production techniques to complete all product process details before leaving the factory. Wuyang Yiguan has a mature and complete wood veneer installation and edging system, requiring simple assembly on-site, easy operation, and beautiful effects.

Matching the grooved acoustic panels, additional same-faced and same-material decorative panels were used on-site to form a layered integrated effect with the slotted acoustic panels, highly restoring the designer's design effect, echoing the design concept of "whale waves" in the event center, resembling the vigorous and resolute swimming posture of a blue whale, full of power and freedom.

The project was successfully implemented, achieving the acoustic and visual effect goals of the venue, once again congratulating the Chengdu Jinqiang International Events Center on its successful completion!
